Sharon’s creative vision has been cultivated over thirty years in several interrelated industries. Sharon has held key corporate and entrepreneurial leadership positions within the fashion and interior design industries from wholesale, product development, marketing, merchandising and licensing, to branding and business development.   

Starting her career in New York City, Sharon worked with The Leslie Fay Companies and Kenar, before a long association with one of the world's premiere fashion designers, Calvin Klein.  After five years in New York City, Sharon moved to London where she opened the ck Calvin Klein Jeans office & showroom for the Florence, Italy based European licensee.  She spent four years overseas then retuned to New York City where she rejoined Calvin Klein in their licensing department.

After over a decade in the fashion industry, Sharon followed her passion into interior design.  Sharon worked with two highly acclaimed designers, Ernie de la Torre Design Studio, based in New York, and Washington-based  interior designer, Thomas Pheasant. Both are featured on ELLE DECOR and AD  Achitectual Digest of the world's top interior designers.

Most recently, Sharon continued her creative path with JM Zell Partners where she was charged with marketing and special events.  After years of planning and executing several successful events, including large fund raisers, corporate dinners and parties, Sharon established her own event planning  company, Sharon Dougherty Event Design.

Today, Sharon is fulfilling her dream of running her own interior design business, Sharon Dougherty Trifilo Interior Design, where her focus is residential and multi-family development.

Sharon appeared in The Washington Post Real Estate section and more recently in Washington, D.C. The Scout Guide.   Sharon is a member of the IFDA, IDS and the ICAA.

Sharon lives in her hometown of Washington, DC with her husband Tim, her three step-daughters, Grace, Lauren, Morgan and their dachshunds, Oliver & Henry.
